November Revolution in 1918 in Germany

Dear Friends and Comrades!

With our picture we want to remember the 100 year anniversary of the November Revolution in 1918 in Germany. The November Revolution ended the Kaiserregime in Germany but failed, in the end, as a socialist revolution. The time after the so called „Weimarer Republik“ was a horrible place for millions of workers. Crises, unemployment, poverty, and hunger ruled Germany while the life standard in the Soviet Union after the successfull October Revolution kept on growing in the late 20s and 30s. The reasons for which the November Revolution failed are diverse. At least we can state that the acting of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) played an important role by betraying the revolution. SPD‘s progressive parts like Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg splitted from the fraction majority and founded the Spartakusbund from which later the Communist Party of Germany issued. To prevent the socalist revolution, SPD‘s right wing associated with the Kaiserreich‘s old military class in the so called „Ebert-Groener Pact“. During the following month many revolutionary workers were shot to death or were wounded. In January 1919 Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxenburg were killed by the reactionnairies. It is the same SPD, the same so called social democrats, with today are also responsible for weapon trading of Germany with the fascist regime in Ankara. It is the same SPD which accentuated the oppression of progressive Kurdish and Turkish people in Germany as it is in power in Germany with the SPD/CDU coalition.
